Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Once you have cleared Customs & Immigration at Kilimanjaro Airport and collected your luggage, you need to make your way to the Arrivals Hall, where you will be met by your driver who will be holding a sign board with your name on it. You will then be driven to Tarangire park. Full day game viewing drives then continue onwards to you Camp, where the rest of the day is yours to relax and enjoy.
Tarangire National Park 1 nights at Camp or Lodge
Day 2: Tarangire park to Central Serengeti National Park
SERENGETI: The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai language and appropriately means an endless plains. The National Park is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara Game reserve (in Kenya). It lies between the shores of Lake Victoria in the west, Lake Eyasi in the south, and the Great Rift Valley to the east. As such, it offers the most complex and least disturbed ecosystem on earth. A unique combination of diverse habitats enables it to support more than 30 species of large herbivores and nearly 500species of birds. Its landscape, originally formed by volcanic activity, has been sculpted by the concerted action of wind, rain and sun. It now varies from open grass plains in the south, savanna with scattered acacia trees in the center, hilly, wooded grassland in the north, to extensive woodland and black clay plains to the west. Small rivers, lakes and swamps are scattered throughout. Rising in the southeast
are the great volcanic massifs and craters of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The Serengeti plains are host to a dramatic annual migration of hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and numerous other species of animals indigenous to the area.
-Breakfast at the Safari Lodge. After breakfast depart with picnic lunches to the Serengeti national park via the Olduvai Gorge the cradle of early African Man. Enjoy your picnic lunches and continue on a leisurely game drive in this side of the park en route to the lodge/Camp arriving late evening.
-Dinner and overnight at Serengeti camp or Lodge
Day 3: Central Serengeti National Park
Full day in Serengeti: Morning and afternoon game viewing drives in the Serengeti national park. Expect to encounter various plains game e.g. zebra; buffalo, gazelle, wildebeest and other species which make this their home. The open plains is the main stage for the great wildebeest migration, an awesome spectacle involving millions of
animals.
-Dinner and overnight at either Serengeti camp or Lodge
Day 4: Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Conservation Area
-Breakfast then depart with picnic lunches on a game viewing drive en route to Ngorongoro conservation area. Enjoy your picnic lunch at a vantage point in the park and thereafter continue with game viewing drives exterior of the crater arriving at the lodge late afternoon. Overnight at the lodge overlooking the crater on the rim.
-Dinner and overnight at either Ngorongoro lodge or Camp
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
NGORONGORO CRATER: Ngorongoro is quite unique as its physical protection from man natural beauty ranks it among the most pristine wildernesses on earth. It is regarded as a natural wonder of the world and has been declared a World Heritage Site. It is the largest intact crater in the world, being 610 meters deep, 16 kilometers across and covering an area of540 square kilometers. On the crater floor, grassland blends into swamps, lakes, rivers, woodlandand mountains – all a haven for wildlife, including the greatest predator population in Africa. The volcanic crater is jam- packed with wildlife, including all the big game. Its pride and joy, however, is that it remains the last great wild refuge for black rhino.
-Early breakfast at the Safari Lodge. After breakfast descend to the floor of the crater and have an experience of a lifetime, as you watch literary hundreds of game that Africa has to offer. Have lunch boxes by the Hippo pool, and then continue on the afternoon game viewing drives. late afternoon ascend and return to the Lodge.
-Dinner and overnight at either the Ngorongoro lodge or Lodge
Day 6: Departure
-Breakfast at the Safari Lodge. This morning depart back to Arusha town and dropped off at a point of your choice or at the Kilimanjaro international airport.
